exactly why did they loose touch they both seemed to love each other a lot even when they parted. i could understand trevor being insecure about the relationship and not contacting gene but not gene not even trying to contact trevor or maybe New york reminded him of himself when he was homeless and doubting his choice to leave home.
i think the ending would've been lowkey better if gene had chosen to return to the amish community because of his family, because i could understand that better than the actual ending. or if at least we got an explanation of why they lost contact for so long. like okay maybe it would've been too painful for trevor, since he figured gene would want other relationships, but at least explain to us!! (2 weeks later still thinking about this manga)
