I read the novel when there wasn't much out. The lore basically was that MC was so busy with other things that he completely forgotten to do the homework written assignment. He quickly asked the ogFL what the homework was, which was basically something along the lines of creative writing and he quickly wrote down a song from God titled "Dear Mother" because it would get him a decent grade since in his own words "Was a hit song that made all of Korea cry" so he thought it would give him an easy A. A lot of professors cried and so did the fire princess because of the misunderstanding lol.
In the novel, in a way it's kind of implied it is kinda true and at the same it's not without delving into spoilers. Well honestly, I stopped reading at a point where I just simply took it away as Schrodinger's cat so I could be completely wrong honestly.

It's unironically a good song, I too cried so hard man. Earnestly, it does earn the title of "hit song that made all of Korea cry." Also it's really funny how the first comment on their MV on YouTube I saw was someone mentioning watching the the MV because of Blinker lolololol. Also there was a comment mentioning a financial crisis during the time the song was made.
Honestly, listening to the song and learning about the era the song was made the MC's life more fleshed out and makes him feel more grounded since he must have lived during that time. It was a good writing choice to choose the song not only for how good it is, but for character building as well.
Anyone who read the novel and tell me more about why he wrote that jajangmyeon lore is it true or did he just write it for fun?
