Welp when you think back on yourself and think "what are somethings I did to manipulate a situation to get what I want? Or to get a better outcome?" I think I more so meant, I don’t understand why now all of a sudden people are disliking his character. He’s been this way from the beginning and that’s what I liked about this story. It wasn’t a cut and dry “bad guy” vs “good guy” love interest. I see it in multiple stories where a character does something morally grey and everyone is the moral police in the comments I don’t think what he’s doing is right but I also don’t think he’s this evil person lol I’d prefer him manipulate her, cuz when she finds out we get a much better plot than if he were to just be a good guy and then that’s it lol. I wasn’t really trying to say what he’s doing is normal or right, I was more so agreeing with the original commenter cuz people all of a sudden hate him and I didn’t understand why?

Well, please don't speak for me, and I am that any other human being. I wouldn't do the things he is doing.. Lay out a plan to ensnare someone, play with their feelings like a game to get what I want.

I agree it would make an interesting story if and when she catches on and makes a stand. But this story has the complexities of his family, so I feel the danger and pain will be out of both of their controls. I hope I am wrong tho:)

No, I know what you mean, but you are assuming every one would manipulate others to get what they want. I don't think that's true. In this case, we are talking about a particular kind of manipulation, so it doesn't matter what other instances, negative or not, the word could be applied to. He is playing her. It's simple. To get what he wants. Sure he doesn't have to be a perfect character, that's not what this story is about. But art incites, imo, and it is inciting people , they have a right to feel offended for her character because she is blind to someone playing her. He is using her if he is trying to get her dishonestly. imo.. He is setting her up and playing with her emotions. He used her naivete to get what he wants, that's using her.

And she's using him as well. She also playing with him. And she's also playing with his emotions. They are stupidly getting offended because they are failing to see the double standard. She also is getting what she wants she's just not doing it with active intent if fact her whole situation is a form if dry begging which is another SUBTLE form of manipulation. In which case no one should be feeling a lick of offense because the guilty party is on all sides of the spectrum. Also I didn't ASSUME people manipulate other's to get what they want it's A FACT and an active subconscious behavior to manipulate to get what you want. No one operates on the behavior of a loser everyone operates onna reward system be it conscious or subconscious, it's instinctual. Also the form of manipulation we've the privilege to few from an inside perspective would nit be know if we were looking at it from an outside perspective so it truly hold no value to label his form of cunning thinking anyways~~
