Programming breakdown. Like Guwon was some kind of experimental asset that was conditioned to behave a certain way and think a certain way hence the black and white thinking and the genuine confusion. Like maybe the whole disaster was an experiment gone wrong and escaped. Which would lead to a potential conflict of a) said experimenters are still around and want him back to reprogram him or b) another experimental asset exists and is a threat to the town. As ugly as it is there is a calculating logic to his decisions but I don’t think the calculator if you know what I mean? Besides in a post apocalypse world things we would consider petty theft hold greater consequences than it would in the land of supply chains and no apocalypse. And again there is an ugly calculation in withholding medicine to be used only for the people who are responsible for the supply in the first place - though I get the sense that that group aren’t to be trusted either. Anyways that’s a lot of words for how im excited to see where this character development goes and hope we don’t just end in the typical black flag merry go round
