Wait i have different takes on this:

1-chuck is just a petty & jealous mf is trying to take out his anger by destroying MCs comfortable life after serving (too boring and dull) ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ

2-i feel maybe the yoon family might have some hardcore enemies so they hired chuck as an some sort of offender to destroy or loosen the families bonds via hurting most beloved person which is hwayoung by taking his beloved from him and turning him into a wanted offender?! （￣へ￣）

Hmmmm idk feel like you’re reaching a bit maybe I skipped some chapters lol just feel like Chuck took the mc’s spot at his previous dangerous gig but he’s not half as good as the mc so whatever organization they’re in decided to bring the mc back even though he abandoned that life. Chuck needed to threaten the ml because that’s the mcs weakness it didn’t give trying to cure their boredom. It’s giving more “desperation”. So he did the dirty move to recruit mc
