no no they have a much more definitive ending in the sequel (diaphonic symphonia) and the suite side stories. they aren’t constantly on the run things get resolved in the next book
really? that gives me sm hope, how does everything get resolved? I honestly only checked out the first books ending

urdho was after him cuz he didn't agree on dong illegal stuff which will compromise innocents, basically was defiant and didn't wanna be a pawn for them, he knew too much so the put a bounty on him

Because unless my reading comprehension is really bad, that is not the reason why they ended up on the run, and it can’t be really be called being on the run when they’re pretty much chilling in Kyle’s house the whole time.
This is my sign to forget this story existed (again) and let it marinate for 2 years (again)
i checked and the ending is open ended, they end up on the run together cuz ilay didn't comply with some shady thing URDHO wanted done and they put a bounty to his head and tay convinced him to run away together, they fall in love ofc but it's horrid, simply cuz ilay is loving someone for the first time and becomes super possesssive, and it doesn't sit right with tay cuz he wants normalcy which he never ends up getting, tay breaks apart cuz the pressure is too much and ilay sort of goes crazy trying to keep tay safe, they stay on the run and never find a place to settle at, their struggles remains ongoing, but they are together.
All in all i'm afraid i have to drop this, the ending isn't happy and i grew extremely attached to them.
