THERE WAS NEVER A HAPPY TIME SINCE THE BEGINNING . And I think it's because Lorkan has always deceived people into thinking he was the good guy? Not all good guys need to have a warm personality. Even those who appear cold on the outside have been the opposite.
Maybe the art change reflects the turmoil the characters are going to go through. This season seems like the peak of conflict. No happy times.
On another note, I've always found it interesting that Lorkan's appearance is drawn more warmly and sunny than Sol, who's supposed to be our good guy and also literally named the sun.
