I can imagine Tokiko is already dead or barely hanging onto life. Takei may die between here and in the next few chapters or Nanao, being too kind for her own good, gives him the punishment to live and repent for his crimes. Although, execution may be the second option
Why does it seem like nowadays manga is trying to push for sympathetic bad guys? Tokiko and Takei better not get light punishment after this.
