I'm hoping they make it official official too... but I'm thinking that maybe Jake revealing his information by handing his own files for shin to go through was sorta Jake's way of confessing to shin. Like jake knew shin would doubt hoseong getting the info so easy, he also knew shin would absolutely wonder why an agent would reveal stuff about himself so suddenly and deliberately... then he'll wonder why jake ruined his mission for him (at the junkyard) as well. in my mind its jake saying "look dude I'm this hotshot cia agent and I'm telling you this because I'd do anything for you, even risk my job and life."
