I sort of agree with you regarding that big of an age gap, but saying that "you've got it all done" at 40 is hilarious, considering most people are only *maybe* halfway through their lives at that point. Life is not done at 40.
if you can compare yourself, in any way, to a 24 year old at 40, I can confidently say you've failed at life. I agree your life doesn't end at 40 but you should have a lot of things done by then
Disagree. People should mature over time and their priorities can and should change as they grow, but life isn't linear. Even if this story is a fantasy, I actually think it demonstrates well the way that people are just doing their best to muddle through. We're constantly working to try and figure out who we are and what we want to do and be, and that's okay.
these stories always have me so divided. as an age-gap-relationship-haver of about 9 years, im definitely of the opinion that so long as everyone is a consenting adult, fuck it. do what you want. BUT in real life? 16 years is insane. at 24 you're figuring out your life or settling into a new normal. at 40 you've got it all done and you're just prepping for fucking retirement. Lim should've stopped this before it ever even started tbh. it's too late now tho, might as well go all in
