I will tell you some things from the novel but I read it a long time ago so don’t take it by heart Σ( ￣□￣||): (it got longer than i expected, sorry)

In the novel, Wooyeon is the one that confronts straightforwardly the problems that they have, as a example when they started dating, Wooyeon discovered that Dohyun knew the whole time who he was and he was giving information to the chairwoman (Wooyeon’s mother) about him, this problem allowed us to notice the feelings Dohyun has even if he hides them:

“I like you.” “…” Those were the words he had promised to say until Wooyeon believed them, the day they decided to be together. But after that, Wooyeon had never really heard those words from him again. In the moment Wooyeon bit his lip, those words rang out again. “I like you, Wooyeon.”

That’s what Dohyun says to him, later we have Dohyun begging Wooyeon for a chance to clarify everything that happened, and they grew closer due to that, and of course we get Dohyun’s backstory on how he meet Wooyeon’s mother and his past in the orphanage and the “illegitimate son” thingy of Wooyeon.

Surely we get to see how down bad Dohyun is for Wooyeon, like restraining himself in crucial moments (like Wooyeon’s drunk flirting) and his jealousy for Danny or others that interrupt them, also the need he has to protect Wooyeon is really big.

In the sides stories (For me, this sides are the ones that really show their dynamic), Dohyun graduates and Wooyeon is a senior in the university, Wooyeon becomes really popular due to his beauty and they repeat the story of club members only joining to flirt with the president of the club (In this case Wooyeon is the president), and Dohyun hears this from Garam and Seongyun, then Dohyun returns to the university since he has to give a lecture to the students, and he kinda makes clear ro everyone that they’re in a relationship. Then they fight and blababa but to make it short Dohyun always made everything to ensure Wooyeons safety, I remember how Dohyun forced his sister to buy treats and desserts for Wooyeon when they fought as she was the only one that Wooyeon was talking to lol.

Now I remembered that even in a chapter that was told from Dohyun’s pov he asked Taegyeom for advice since he wasn’t feeling sure of the actions he was taking in his relationship LMAOO.

Do you know what his specific reactions were to the drunk flirting and in this scene when Wooyeon started crying? Does he handle/find out about the stairwell bully scene?

In the novel they describe Dohyuns actions in each scene (So if you can read the novel I highly recommend it), in the drunk flirting scene he was ready to jump on Wooyeon but of course he wouldn’t do that to him, he restrained himself and even he clarified later that it was because he always felt attracted to him but he wanted everything to have consent, his touch in this scene was slow, careful and with urgency, Dohyun looks at Wooyeon as his most precious person.

For the bully,since he (Dohyun) knows who Wooyeon is, he also knows who his bully was and his past with him, so they kinda adress this together, even Dohyun hit Junseong without hesitation when he started to trash mouth Wooyeon in front of everyone (and also because of an incident later with a photo):

“Though Dohyun had never gotten angry with him, Wooyeon knew well how terrifying he could be when he was upset. Like when he didn’t hesitate to hit Kang Junseong—the one who always bullied Wooyeon—“

“Then, something unexpected happened. Dohyun grabbed Junseong by the collar and punched him hard. The dull sound of the punch echoed, and Junseong’s head jerked to the side. “….” “….” The surroundings fell into silence, as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over them.
