Do much angsty, the capital period was do frustrating.

I feel like the story feels off after that. How can she be the queen in both kingdom but Alex the king of only one?

Isn't it because she claimed it for herself? She didn't want Northian to fall under Ulswad rule rather she want the alliance between them?

Realistically if this were following European Rules, the title of King and Queen is used on a broader term BUT the proper terms would be "Queen consort" or "King Consort". This is far different from "Queen" and "King" titles.

So while she is Queen of her original kingdom, she would be a "Queen Consort" of ML's kingdom.

Likewise, ML would be King of his kingdom but only a "King Consort" of FL's kingdom.
