So what happens when he kills all of em though? I agree with you dw but would he just be the only god? Hope heaven still exists by then.
with the way he's set up the island as a new type of earth and has dominion over hell too, i think it's already pretty clear the author is going for a monotheistic god ending for raul after killing the king and then the gods. all he needs is access to the 'current' heaven where the good souls go and the other gods might use that against him.
i hope the ending will be Raul killing all the gods and gaining the ability to bring back the dead, the he'll bring back his mother, his sisters, those kids and everyone he like and didn't deserved to die, and without the memories of their suffering and death. so they can live again normally and peacefully like they deserve
