Same here, Ilay makes sense to me. Like he’s messed up, but It’s more of because he was born like that, and under the influence of Tae he becomes a best version of himself.
Yeah, despite the terrible things he did, I like the way Ilay is written. He never pretended to have humanity, yet when it did appear because of Taeui, he was really confused and it was shown in his madness-like contemplation. His path of becoming in touch with his emotions is what sealed it for me
