For one, she doesn’t actually dislike him. I suspect she’s the king of personal who would bury her feelings so deep, she wouldn’t even realize she has them. Or she’d just completely ignore the fact that she has feelings in the first place, so us readers won’t know shxt until she has a real emotional reaction or actually says the words
Yes I always thought the idea of her falling in love with him will be out of character for her.
I feel like there has been scenes where it’s hinted that she has a thing for him even if it’s just admiration but she tells herself to stop being stupid and then continues to be stoic

I personally feel like unlike some of the readers, she’s way too indulgent and accepting of who Cesar is as a person and as a noble for her not to one day get there. Like just now, we discover that she wasn’t sulking so much because he told her not to go to any high society event, but rather because he’d been given her the cold shoulder ever since Edra proposed.
I don’t really see why Adeline likes Cesare he’s nothing but a jerk to her and he has no personality like how will they ever even end up together they’ll say jk she’s actually a commoner but I love her so she’s my lover now? Oh well just reading for the pretty art mostly
