Im fearing of this happening too, considering the setting is in the 90s ..... WAIT A MINUTE usually when setting it on previous era that means NOOOOOO, that means something amjor will happen to warrant a timeskip to the present .... ok thanks to this comment in overthinking now
i swear if these side stories hint at the real ending of the story and they end up not getting together until meeting again in the future so they can be socially accepted i’m gonna cry
