I think here G dude is looking at these animal dudes as freaks, and he wants to experiment on them because they are curious, and while he experiments on them he also gets to develop new stuff, but I do not think it is to help them. At least that's what the story so far tells me.
My humble opinion, of course :D
So even though G-dude is clearly experimenting on the hybrids to make their lives easier (as seen with the medicine and injections), he's probably also there to find a cure for mutation right?
