Is it a good story? Worth reading?

ehhh
the characters are written well, the story itself is not. i personally kept reading because I loved Asisi, the Knight character, and Caitel, the emperor's emotional development.
the mc is pretty annoying at times
and around the end of the story all her problems are so first world that it pissed me off
