It's more like he doesn't understand human emotions Doram told him that he'd like to know something ANYTHING about his brother and he did just that of course he expected him to jump for joy, he was literally excited for his reaction. If anything I think this chapter puts their first time into a new perspective he went through the motions correctly he had calming incense, oil, and a comfortable bed, everything a man needs for the perfect wedding night. He truly doesn't understand mortal emotions :( this story is all about him learning and we've finally taken the first step.
No, I get that. I mean if he is truly rumoured god then it makes sense why he doesn't understand humans and their emotions.
