I was so confused till I read the rest of the comments :-( I thought everyone was gonna love this it’s so fluffy and cute and the characters genuinely belong together I don’t understand any complaints

Yes exactly. I see that the ML was getting teared down becauss he was loud, crybaby and such. But have they ever wondered why he is like that? did they truly read the story and see the characters or were these characters just dicks and holes to them to satisfy their fascination for sexual acts?
I mean, those parts are just bonuses, right ..? I really enjoy it more when it is more wholesome like that. Especially lately. The psycho ones are bringing me down too much lately. I gotta have breaks of wholesome pairings from time to time
the seme came off as slightly autistic, im autistic myself so just the behaviour in general gave off a familiar feeling, even if they never specified i like to think thats what they were going for, you dont usually see it represented in media often so i liked this. i would be lying if i said i expected the comments to be different though. something being different is often going to be perceived badly and it was a bit rushed since it was a short story, no explanations about his behaviour so he is just labelled obnoxious and toxic
Yes exactly. I like the way you also explained it. I used to be someone that hates delving into the small things but that doesn't really cultivates critical thinking and empathy and the whole audience is just like that.
when something isn't outright explained or labelled, we don't use our brains anymore to find things out and just settle for easy.
ML is labelled obnoxious and toxic when he is a victim of his circumstances but we don't talk about that because we lack brain cells.
a lot of people probably read this just because they saw the smut tag, after reading all kinds of stories ive come to realise that majority of people will turn their brains off and skim through until they get to the porn, its no different from people with a porn addiction. even when the story is well done and paced properly i will still rarely find anyone in the comments who actually grasp what the story is about and just thirsting over characters despite them being god awful morally speaking. since its fiction people throw away their morals and just argue that its just fiction so anything that happens is a free pass, rape, abuse, pedophilia, who cares as long as the characters are drawn conventionally attractive? why have empathy for drawings? well maybe because these things happen in real life and romanticising it in itself is damaging whether they want to believe it or not.

I'm kinda sad that we as a collective audience in this generation and beyond has lost any sort of empathy on the story's character even if the story is something that isn't the calibre of a well-thought out story.
