No, literally when Angel said that and the scene of Emi saying that to that dumb prince, I was like ‘ah, he’s just like Emi so if they end up together that makes sense.’
i’m rereading this and it’s such a small detail but i think remi genuinely started to like angel bc he reminded her of emi. let me cook- when angel first “confessed” to remi, he said “i want to become a man who can stand by your side and not bring shame to your name,” which is followed up with remi recalling how emi told prince willard “i was trying so hard so i could stand by your side, because i wanted to become a woman who wouldn’t bring shame to anyone.” so the only reason why remi likes angel is bc of emi (exaggerating) anyway #doomed yuri so doomed she had to settle for the next best thing
