No I love this story. I have to say Astaire definitely has been a pretty bad person throughout a lot of the story though, just not a monster like he was in the original timeline. Him not being a monster doesn't make him not bad. It's understandable that he is that way, considering his past, but his past doesn't negate the fact that he's still acted positively unhinged around Kayla, trampled over her boundaries and put her in a lot of danger.
But with that said, I still like him :') I mean you can still like fictional characters even with them being bad people.

Aster, he was downright maniac in the original storyline that the FL read. But rn he's like a clear-sighted villain with a specific goal. That's to have Kyla stay with him. Getting the throne was deemed more like a duty he just needs to do for his bloodline. Which I think is Aster's necessary step to have Kyla beside him always, because as an emperor he can make Kyla his, an empress perhaps.

I get that I wasn't meaning he is a bad guy just way less Maniac then his possible outcome. And I was just seeing a lot of hate about the story too. Idk I feel like (also compared to other s***** toxic male leads read and other stories) He's not that bad like yeah he does push her boundaries and everything, And yes holding her captive int a good f****** thing. But also I kind of look at it this way of like how she looked at it; he was so f****** trapped in a house not allowed to do anything with a guy who just saw him as a f****** problem. Like yeah he's not a good dude but he's also a victim as well A victim of neglect. You leave a child in a house basically all alone never allowed to f****** leave of course you're going to go f****** crazy. The one guy that lives with him constantly acts like he's a nuisance and a horrible person and we never saw any of the horrible s*** that he complained about. He always was complaining about how he needs to clean up his mess and how he always causes him problems but we never saw that. The only problems we ever saw was him actually going outside for f****** once and then kidnapping the girl which he unfortunately got to a breaking point in kidnapped her because he was so f****** lonely. Not trying to excuse his actions but I feel like it's a little bit more understandable compared to like male leads and other stories where they're just kind of like abusive to be abusive. He definitely has like issues with neglect and he has a trauma bond for her as well for sure But I find that interesting I find his character very interesting and very flushed out and I think that's why I kind of like his character compared to like other toxic male lead stories where they're just abusive to the female lead for like no reason lol.

(≧∀≦) same! but yow, honestly I didn't read your whole comment when I replied about Aster, cuz you were just talking about the Aster and I got interested. I just read your latest comment cause I thought you're mad about something
( ̄∇ ̄") my first reply was about how I perceived Aster's "new" journey... I apologize if it came through to you like something else maybe. But I'm merely sharing a detail
ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~ no hate bro~
I understood how you like Aster, and I like his character development here too than the original storyline.
btw, I like how detailed you got there haha go easy on cursing(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ spread love <3
Why does everyone hate this story so much like chill it's actually really good >>
Also the argument that Aster is a horrible person bc of the story / book idk. To me he never got the chance to be that person, he didn't become that person and thos events didn't happen. So to me dudes not a bad person at all, like if u compare the two he's super chill now compared to his possible outcome of being crazy.
