ooo that's a good catch. i read that chapter and guwon says, "i couldn't bring any medicine," not "they wouldn't let me". not sure if that holds the same meaning in korean, but i think guwon just decided not to because of "fairness". but i'm willing to bet that if that happened in recent chapters, guwon would've taken it lol

Maybe so, but notice that she wanted to make exceptions for the teacher. When they had to carry boxes of supplies, Guwon wanted the teacher to skip it, but the others disagreed because it wouldn't be fair. Maybe it was the same with medicine then? He wanted to take it, but the others said it wouldn't be fair to the others?

to be fair that guy looked like he shit his pants LMFAO
hmm. i think there's a difference between standing up to someone to promote fairness and to break it. they didn't want guwon to give teach special treatment because it would be unfair, but wanting to give medicine to a sick child is NOT fair under their rules. fairness is the main factor in all their problems.
When in some chapter the Teacher pretended to be unwell in order to leave early from a meeting with Guwon, Guwon came to him so that he would not be alone and said that he wanted to take some medicine for him, but they would not let him. And now the Teacher has to convince Guwon to allow the townspeople to give medicine to a sick child. Who really decides and distributes this?
