I feel like they might have some bumps in our way but he actually reacted in a very wholesome way. To me he reacted valid and gave good aftercare too. He doesnt seem like a cold hearted guy that i thought he might be from the first few chapters

I think his reaction was more to how he was feeling towards him than his actual backstory, he was upset that he ever felt like he would run away because he didnt act like other beasts, so he reassured him that he actually LIKES that hes a little timid
