Not trying to be a kill joy but...

This novel ended in a very unsatisfying way. Let's hope the story changes.

    Spoiler

What would you say that? I thought it was well done. Hess got her revenge, the crown prince and Diane both suffered a lot while Kael and Hess grow on to be a power couple

I think the part that was unstifying was when Kael decided to not dethrone Diana.

Yup. When that happened (or didn't) a lot of people were unsatisfied. Overall I liked the story

He didn't? Then why do I remember a remarriage in the novel and Diane being exiled in a temple?

I think it was more a case of bowed out rather than forced out. I remember them taking her all the way to the edge and then backing off.

I’d actually like how Kael & Hess doesn’t mind her one bit and she’s slowly withering away rather than a climatic ending!! Because in fact Diana is not an evil villain but an ignorant & narrow minded woman so The ending fits her perfectly.

She’s there when people found out Hess is pregnant even when Heli is going to remarried!! It won’t be possible if she’s dethroned earlier >__<

    I agree Bea

Maybe thay's why I liked the ending. Diana was ignored as something insignificant

Yes. And although I dont like Diana either for the obvious reasons and like seeing her in trouble. She isn’t the worst bitch on earth ppl make her seem out to be. She already lost respect, her divine powers, the love of everyone, and her position as empress. That's quite enough for revenge she doesn’t need to rot in prison or die

Id like to add that 'God' punished her by taking her magic/divine powers of healing when instead of acting like the chosen saint for the *people* she only helped nobles/Helios and the king. The power of the people was monopolyzed by royalty so if anything Helios' idiocy of chosing a commoner saint as queen is what created Diana's downfall. Hestia only quickened the process

Plus Diana believes she is special & the center of the world. By making her insignificant is probably her punishment :D

Nah, the thing that left a bitter taste with the readers was how Kael DIDN'T COMMUNICATE his reasoning (or felt the need to) with Hess & Hess was taken aback and assumed it was a move Kael did because he still had lingering attachments. He legitimately went, "Actually babe I'm voting against you when the council votes about Diana's deposition," and then nothing.

It was a decision made without Hess' input and something his asshole of a friend begged him to do & it ruined whatever fragile belief Hess was slowly building, that Kael might actually be able to forget Diana.

It came across as, "Oh. He's affectionate to me now because I was a good partner, but Diana by virtue of just existing will always hold a higher, special place in his heart and I would have to be ok sharing his affection like that." This is the scene that led to Hestia contemplating if she jumped off a balcony, then maybe that would allow her to return to her world.

iirc this scene also happened before we get jealous/actively pursuing/flirty Kael so it was super frustrating to read about because it felt like Hess only kept giving and giving until the end, then the only catharsis of revenge was taken away from her at the last minute.

BUT considering how many events they rearranged in the webtoon, I'm hoping this scene has been altered too. I genuinely hope it has because I've really liked the subtle changes to Kaelus & I can't read Kaelus behaving like that a second time lol.

Fr. Honestly I hope that in the extra they Focus on Kael and Hes relationship rather than Heli and Diana.

yeah that was frustrating too but the author probably needs a trigger for the next drama to unlock

I like how everyone else's ending except for the fact that the author didn't dwelve much on Diana's ending (I want to see her suffering too)
