The fact that the world is ruined and you lost everything doesnt mean you can lose your humanity too…

    But it will happen.
A constant slew of bad things will force pure survival instincts to kick in.
When starvation sets in, it only gets worse. Murder will seem like the most humane act then.

No, like, i mean, guwons mentality isnt on the right place, like, it never was. His entire world was just like this one rn. He doesnt undersrand whats right and wrong. Theach mistakenly though guwon just lost these, but he didnt even have them.

Yeah, he was never really human to begin with.Im 90% sure he's a revived undead or something. But the others who flock to him are. They're the ones who have been pushed so far they accept following a guy who killed their loved ones, letting kids die, and bashing their neighbour's skull in.

Yes, that could be true ideally but it's more complex in their setting. Post-apocalyptic world, resources are scarce, and their place is probably the rarest safe zones. Those people knew what Guwon (or his mentality) is and still stayed and agreed to the rules to be protected. If exceptions are made, no matter how emotional, then rules are no longer rules, but guidelines subject to whim. Fear of punishment is sometimes the only thing keeping desperate people from acting selfishly. If people see that well-intentioned theft can get away with it, people will follow and there's nothing left to save. Carrying out the punishment is a way to show no one is above the law, Guwon follows those rules himself. It's also kinda selfish/cowardice of Teach to only criticize Guwon when he saw all the others vote as well.
