Interesting

Besides my discovery as to why Guwon looks so weird to me (his torso is literally the shape of a light bulb, you're welcome for that mental image), I think I might have noticed why he threw up, why he has insomnia, etc..

If he is THIS happy about being told he's wrong, but preciously was shocked at the exclamation of it: Chances are that he might throw up, have insomnia, go borderline insane BECAUSE deep down he is aware things aren't right, but he was told it was, so he abides by the previous teachings.

This could explain all the strange things going on with him. The insomnia, the throwing up, forgotten past and even the smiling and crying while harming himself.

And now I'm even more suspicious about who the Hounds are.
My theory of him not being human still remains, but this is I think an interesting aspect to keep in mind too. Which makes the MCs role in this story even grander than ever: Because he CAN fix things and turn things for the better by teaching Guwon properly.

This is why I use the internet! Thank youuuu god, like i get people are upset at the fact that hes utterly insane but he doesn’t have his memories for a reason no? I think he experienced a mass amount of abuse to the point where he was medically made to forget or the trauma forced him to forget (maybe whats happening to the teach too with the knife) and some of those teachings have passed on to the current where thats what he physically knows as “right” but because of the teach showing him an interpersonal compassion hes beginning to reflect on his actions, slowly but surely. Uguguggu im so hyped for this manga vro

Oh, I love your idea! I was also considering trauma that made him forget everything since the mind thinks: Nah, not dealing with THIS stuff, cya!
But I still have the theory he isn't even human, and we DID see him emerge from rubble, so maybe he really just got a hit to the head and had only basic, strange, non-human standards and went by those. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Part of me hopes we get ACTUAL greek mythology thrown our way and his loss of memory is related to drinking from/falling into the river Lethe (the river of forgetfullness/loss of memory/unmindfullness). And I somehow hope he legit is Sisyphus (which would explain the moon scene, since it looks like the bolder he was supposed to roll.)

I'm hyped too~. I just hope we actually GET a good and grand reason instead of it being something lukewarm and boring. Or nonsensical. That's the downside of theorizing; you can get majorly disappointed if the author doesn't put in effort in the end. XD
