I do ultimately think this manhwa is kind of mid, which is understandable in such an oversaturated genre, but I keep coming back to chapter 22 every couple of month and oh my god. It's just so good. The visuals, the emotions, the dialog. "I'm here to kill you Raymond" is printed on my brain. I think I cried the first time I read it? I'm obsessed with the version of this story I thought about as I read it. I keep thinking about how this story would go if it didn't have to be a romance, but I probably wouldn't read it in the first place if it wasn't. Idk, I just really love chapter 22
I feel like there were a lot of missed opportunities with this story, especially when it turns into shoujo romance (when it becomes truly mid) dino nugget
Yeah, at the start it felt like a really interesting examination of grief, guilt and shame, but then the protagonist has to fall in love and so all these complex feelings are either minimized or used to show how humble the FL is, when I feel like that goes against what she went through

they just kinda shoved all her "annoying" or "ugly" feelings out of the way when it was time for the romance ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌ its a shame
