You can use it as an inspiration but you have to come up with a new logo. I think it’s a wonderful idea, maybe you can improve it with your own style. You can also start thinking who is going to be your future clients like do you want them to be cafes or restaurants or from the food industry.
It’s very important to show in your portfolio who you want to help on developing their branding.

Yess, you can take inspo from anywhere! The story shows the cafe very vaguely so its also not like you're straight up copying it

Yeaa of course. I’ll make my own logo. I’m a freelancer as well, so I usually create brands for other people as well. I just love the frog concept with the logo (frog face). And also the frog sticks on the parfait. I think it’s so cute. Tbh I loved to share my portfolio, however I don’t really want to share my personal information in this website
Understandable :) but don’t put your phone number or address on it—unless you live in a place that requires it. I live in the USA and random people would take my info to call and ask if I wanted to use their web design services. Then I tried to use something like a contact form and people were abusing it to send emails about random stuff.
