Characters are not supposed to be simple, we are complex species.

Shu Yi made a mistake, a huge one. It was bad on her side to pursue a guy for a petty reasons but unfortunately this is more common than you think. People flirting and not being serious is currently a plague. I also don't see her as a bad person - she didnt plan a future with the guy, she just wanted to get back at her opportunistic ex and that's it - don't forget she got cheated on and left because of MONEY. I honestly never met an adult in my life that wouldn't be hurt after cheating. Not only that but she was still being harassed by her ex's new gf everytime she ran into her - she handled it well. In real life it's not easy to be the bigger person, although ideally we should all strive to be.

On Shi Yan, he shouldn't accept Shu Yi back. As much as I love their chemistry now it is gone. He is allowed to be hurt, move on and mourn. Being used like that is horrible - I would say Shu Yi did to Shi Yan what was done to her. She shouldn't have done that and she had realisation of that when she found out who the uncle was. Still, he should just leave her considering that he is the best husband candidate in the country and maybe get a therapy not to develop trust issues - he won't have an issues with finding marriage partner but will that be sincere? Most are after his money so the probability of financial marriage with lack of feelings is very high. He is pitiful in this case.

Still - they are complex characters with feelings, that make wrong choices which makes this story good. You can disagree with me but I am keeping a neutral stance on both of them.
