Nope you are right, its very offending for older people to be casually called by younger people. They take seniority seriously even if its just a year apart. Hence when jinhyoung was called by his name by a junior, he punished the one he already knew who is a likely culprit

For countries like korea, japan, and china this is most important even within families (≧∀≦)
