You definitely not being over critical.They think if you get raped wow it's gone and over and you don't think about it.Author never put the trauma and the after effect of rape and what you need to get over it.I haven't read it but based from the comment does he end up with the rapist? It is quite sad that they use rape and even fetishise it which is quite disgusting.Its true that rape is a big probelm but bloody hell they don't even know how to handle it. Especially with these short stories why even add rape what actually are gaining( I have no clue).It is sad that yaoi have rape. Idk but I have 'Beware the moon in march' something like that.I am not going to lie the story would have been good if it didn't add the rape.Also in yaoi people who get raped they never confront the rapist. Anyways that yaoi have a huge redemption acrs and the rape got addressed from the uke himself.BUT STILL it doesn't excuse the fact that it still took place.But overall rape in yaoi is becoming way to normalised and not even handled well enough.
agreed, in this story, the main thing by what i meant fetishizing rape is when they go so disgustingly in depth in the rape scene thats its practically screaming this comic is meant for pornographic material and what goes with that but in this comic it turns around and tries to make the rape scene a point of depth, that “oh look at the adversity the mc is going through and observe how the ml sticks up for him!” its like cmon, stick to either trying to make the story deep or making it just disgusting rape fap material for degenerates. i know that this is just smut and strictly smut and thats why i said im just being overly critical bc thats all the story was meant to be. it js pmo how the author tried to portray a complicated situation all while making a in depth smut rape scene

nah imma be real this shits trash and the artist fetishizes rape but even tho thats so obviously the point of the comic why even bother trying to wrap up w a good ending, comics like these always make no sense and feels like no actual thought was put behind the complexity of the situation theyre trynna show and jt ends up being very half assed explored
