I mean, it's a bit simple to put it that way in my eyes to tell somebody that it could be just the 'blood', but to be honest, he kind of shows signs as his fangs n eyes change at the sight of his blood

so I think... you're not too woke, but it heavily depends on how much it can affect them, especially since diva isn't even asking for his blood nor brings it up, but it wouldn't be racist, just a slightly uneducated, tadbit prejudice statement on gng's characteristics due to how he reacts when gng gets a whiff of his blood
