What is with this trope of the MLs killing someone, the MCs being like "OMG he killed someone?!" -almost immediately after- MC: "Maybe he's not such a bad guy after all."
WHAT?!

this is lowkey my 4th time rereading this (ik ik judge me all u want bcuz i’m judging myself for it) but i lowkey have a theory as to why MC starts to (honestly, irrationally) fall for the ML. if you don’t want any spoilers, you don’t have to continue to read my comment but…

so the whole “consummation ceremony” (or whatever it’s called) that ties/bonds them together for supposedly eternity, might’ve affected the MC’s feelings towards ML because otherwise I feel that he’s an overall rational person, so it doesn’t make sense for him to all of a sudden brush off all the red flags. we don’t find this out until later on, but unfortunately (and quite angering) the ML did the “ceremony” with the MC right after he falls into their world while he remained unconscious. he expected the MC to fall in love with him as soon as he woke up bcuz that’s what he expected to occur. obviously instead, that wasn’t the case. but i feel like as the story goes on you can see the effects of what he did to MC start to take over MC’s feelings for ML. so in any case, i don’t think MC falling in love with the ML was completely voluntary…but that’s just my theory tho.
