Well, based on how the authors portray South Korean, the average citizens are homophobic, the family's reputation is sacred and the father of the family is the boss of the house. So considering all that, hitting Tak once, and Tak being not injured much, it wasnt really an important part of the story (most uke after sex are in worst shape than Tak after his father hitting him lol).
The father hitting the gay son is probably the average reaction based on the setting of the story. Ofc, aint no way that would be my reaction if my dad hits me. Thats cultural differences though.
Uhm so I think alot of ppl looked past the abuse that tak basically went through it was weird asf. Felt bad for inseo dealing with that much pressure of guilt from what he said to yi hyeoks mom which caused most of the complications in their rls.
