Just stay out of the smut tags. Shounen Ai has like 0 smut and Yaoi without the smut tag tends to have WAY less. Go read smth slow burn like Regas or Guildmate Next Door
its alright, there's still many good series with the smut tag, as long the plot is good and make sense even with alot of smut I'll read it but sometimes there's some bl out there with smut to plot ratio so unbalanced you dont actually get to explore the storyline and that piss me off. all i need to do is hope and pray the bl im reading is good
i will always say this, sex scenes always take up so much of the plot in bl. it funny to how most bl is usually made up of 50% (or more) sex than actual story telling. 50% might not look much but it liteliterally takes up half of the series. no matter how hot the steamy it looks, you shouldnt make the two characters fuck every 2 chapters
