Eh idk tho bc like what part of this is actually realistic? A sudden outbreak causing zombies? Zombies stuff is inherently like not realistic. The fact that not a single worker was at the house or near the house (except that one lady) during a shoot/ show. Like idk I mean u can still write a zombie story that doesn't involve rape. bc what is the point in writing and showing rape scenes it truely? It's not to raise awareness, or bring the light the issues of rape... It's just kinda partially a way to introduce rape porn for the most part... Like the guy being gross toward the one lady oc the artist had to do art to show her boobs... Bc it's about rape porn. It's not to be 'realistic'.

Also again it doesn't do much for the plot most the time it happens I'm stories.the only time I saw it did anything for a story was walking dead. An attempt at rape on his son drove Rick to go crazy and kill everyone in a brutal way that we never thought he would, it was truly a break in sanity. Then moved the story into facing Karl thinking his dad might be dead and turning into a zombie so he might have to kill. They didn't even rape him, they implied what he would do. (Which is fine) But when I see a woman have a rape scenario I'm zombie movies/shows they so much gets shown, and it usually doesn't affect the plot much or characters. Yeah sometimes the rapist gets killed but nothing affects the story in the log run or plot. It's once again just rape porn.

Most the time the women don't even have trauma in the long run that affects the stories outcome later. Like if a woman gets raped and later in the story because of that she has a deep mistrust of men and so continuously makes bad decisions by not trusting men and it leads to an interesting outcome that would be fine but you don't need to show the extreme of the rape to get that point across and also that almost never happens a woman gets raped and the story keeps going and nothing changes. You quite literally could have changed the rape into just regular abuse and it would have had the same exact outcome. You need to actually have a reason to put rape in a story not just putting it there to put it there It needs to have a reason. That's how you tell a good f****** story.

1. Not all rape has to be "on screen", so it is not rape porn to include allusions to or confirmation of rape, particularly if it is done "off screen".
2. The fear of men and of rape is and has always been a concern for women in survival situations at least as long as we have had oral traditions to tell stories so... tens of thousands of years.
3. In the case of women, making it "regular abuse" does actually change its effect on the plot. Sexual violence is overwhelmingly perpetrated by men and the victims are overwhelmingly women and children. When sexual violence is the concern, it is often used to show the consistent ways in which women are always having to think abouy and protect themselves from a hidden danger. In fact, men being rapists in survival situations can be thought of the same way as someone hiding a bite and becoming a zombie. Its about the terror of possible betrayal and violation and it is the layer that all women have to think about and fear. "Regular abuse" is a fear for all, sexual abuse is fear specific to those who are physically or socially weaker. Its social commentary.

I get that but what I'm saying is in most stories they show the rape scen in detail. They use it as throw away plot that doesn't affect the story. I'm saying in most stories they aren't using rape is something that she's light to rape issues, or plot issues. That's the problem. Obviously idk where it's going in this story. But most stories they just have needles rape scenes that doesn't affect the plot for like no reason.
It would be nice to have a zombie story that doesn't involve rape or attempt at rape
