To be honest, I don’t really get the hate on the blonde guy. He genuinely just wants to help his friends and make sure they all survive. Yeah, sometimes he can be a bit much, but he’s not a bad person at all. In fact, it’s kind of sweet—he’s like a kid who just wants to do whatever he can to protect the people he cares about.
And honestly, you could say the same thing about the main character. She keeps trying to sacrifice herself for her friends, but no one seems to have a problem with that. Yet when the blonde guy tries to help, suddenly it’s an issue? Like yes he plays hero a lot but he doesn’t mean any harm behind it and doesn’t really cause any harm when he helps so I don’t see the problem?
Also I get it—some of y’all really want the MC and the black-haired girl to be a couple because you’re hoping for that ship to happen. But to me, it feels way more like a deep platonic friendship than anything romantic. Actually, I don’t really see the MC with anyone, not even the guys. She’s just focused on surviving, helping her friends, and finding her uncle. So honestly, I don’t think romance is even part of the story right now.
But I know a lot of people are still shipping her with the black-haired girl anyway.
