Do you know the saying "calm before the storm"? Usually in doomed endings like this story, the author will display happy moments, happy people, bright colors, etc. then a few panels later, the author will drop something heavy.

Lowkey i tend to read stories that are more happy, so this wasn’t even on my mind but yes I have heard this phrase and do understand why others are seeing these death flags raising
