It is disgusting, but I think what op meant is that in this instance, the guy is the one pursuing her, she doesn't like him tho. He does, and he usually always basically forces them into it. So the "grooming" part idk, I can't count the number of dudes irl who fall in love with their teachers or whatever older cousins they've had. Many were obvious. And some even confessed it to me. So yeah, how is that grooming? The fl treats him as her student only so it isn't that, grooming is intentionally raising them the way you want them to be so they are pleasurable to you, and that's ew, gross disgusting!! I understand what you mean, the MC here is absolutely not grooming a husband, but that doesn’t mean i am comfortable if she does accept his pursuit in the future.
I mean who in their right mind would want to sleep with someone they took care of when they were 4 or 6 year old ? Even if that person grow, their mental image should be akin to that of a baby, your own child or nephew maybe. This should never be a romantic partner material.
I know she’s part dragon, which makes part about getting old sooner disappear, but I don’t think that initial perception or 20 years of life experience amounts for nothing either
I don’t care about the gender of the protagonist, i find it gruesome to engage in a relationship with someone you cared for as a baby or small child, whether as a substitute parent or a teacher.
As you mentioned there probably truly is an age when older can seem better. When grow in age, you obviously start to enjoy people around your age more : you share a culture, interests, experiences, etc, and you have the same energy. But, before that, you don’t need a father (/mother) complex to find mature, experienced guys or girls to be more attractive or reassuring. (I still don’t mean twice as old!)
You also might have a person you adored, like you said, an older cousin, an amazing teacher. These are ok fantasies. The problem lies in the adults who make the fantasy live.
I think a relationship with a reasonable age difference might be nice, you learn thing, you get self confidence … But that’s certainly is not without a cost, if the age difference is truly big.
If you think about it, women tend to be around their 30s when they have kids, when they fetch their kid at school, one looks like a parent, but the other is clearly at a grand parent age. And it’s not just about the look, but health issues can become rather concerning, or the fact that being older, one can easily be overwhelmed by the youngest children.
While the younger one might want kids, It also feels irresponsible from the oldest to have children he might not live long enough to properly care for, or than un grown children might have to take care of !
Honestly, seeing this in real life, it’s hard to find it cute.

Yeah i agree, it's disgusting and I won't read it either way but I get what they're saying too since it isn't intentional,and that matters, but if she does accept then yeah she's the problem here, it's sad since it is a not bad story especially with the different characters and the challenges they face, it's unfortunate that this is what it is made to be, ig we can hope he ends up with the red haired or single.
