I think his past has its own charm in the story that made him realistic and readers won't appreciate his character development if he had been the perfect man from the start.
I don’t think there is charm in his past actions and of course it would be boring if he was perfect that’s not what I want for him in this story but sooo many stories share the same trope of a ran through ML that gets his way with the FL. I dunno, I just think it’s getting old
