Mm it's not much worse when you consider the way jh rejects him in public and when it matters. He acts embarrassed of him and rejects while fully knowing how Sr feels and what he's had to go through. For Sr to act this way is of course petty and immature, but ultimately it would make sense that he lash out when he's being rejected and treated like an embarrassment by someone he values most in the world.
They're both in the wrong but there's nuance to the way he's acting, the same way JH is a kid, Sr is one too– an even more hurt, unstable, unwell one– and he deserves as much grace.

He rejects his proposal to runaway in front of his house. Not in front of everyone. And not because he's ashamed but because he's fucking AFRAID of his dad.
Do yoi even read the bl???
He originally didnt even avoid SR in class. He had to because he's more afraid of his dad.
Jinhyeok's biggest fear and nightmare has always been his dad.
And NO. What SR did still clearly way out of line.
I loved Seongrik, I was once in abusive household too. But he's lashing at the wrong person.
Sorry but Seongrik is clearly acted way too out of line here. Him feeling hurt and betrayed is normal. He thought JH would be in line with their original plan to runaway. As a kid from abusive household, having someone you can return to is so precious.
So I do get it when he's hurt by JH's refusal.
But it's not like Jinhyeong is at fault either.
It's only normal he got confused and still longing for his family. He's right when he said his father is still a family--though not a good one.
I still think it's unfair of Seongrik to ask Jinhyeong to move out right there and then.
It was so sudden. They are just a fucking kid. Jinhyeong chickening out is so valid because he's still not in a desperate situation yet.
And for him to turn on Jinhyeong 180° by bullying him like that is much more worse that Jinhyeong refusal to runaway.
