It's okay to not remember dates, but if you care you put multiple reminder in a calendar with notification
Or even if you can't celebrate anniversary you still buy you partner's favorite candy on a whim when you go to the store
You just need to find what love language you use and overuse it a bit
My husband is a sarcastic punk who always liked to joke that my birthday was on the 20th instead of the 21st. Well after enough times of that, for a while he couldn't remember which was the real date and which was the joke anymore (≧∀≦)
