She will change her mind. While traveling with her team it turns out that families of some of them are dead. In some cases bodies are found other not. So they mourn together. Furthermore she becomes aware of the consequences of her son permanent revival. If she suddenly started to walk around the base with her son that was dead, others would want that too. MC unfortunately can't do that for everyone. So she just accept that her son died. She thinks that she's fortunate, because she had opportunity to at least say goodbye.
I was so invested and checked the spoilers and wiki. It says si woo will be revived permanently.
Can someone who had read the novel confirm this? I haven't gotten to that part yet
