General story is the same, the art and direction is different tho. Both mangas started the same year but the other one seems to progressed much faster.

The anime follows the novel. Art style and names, the anime and Manga (illustrated by nekokurage - this mgg page) are the same. The one illustrated by Kurata Minoji - the link in the comment - has a different art style and some names are different, I.e. Shishou > ZiChang, Shisui > ZiCui.
