Yeah they establish a safe word later on, but either ways the top knows when too much is too much (which is basically never cuz of how masochistic bottom is). Actually there’s literally a scene where the top has the bottom use the safe word so he remembers it and uses it right (like 6 frames of a lil public play, nothing bad) And since they have pretty much the same taste in BDSM they don’t talk too much abt play preference, but it’s more like he brings it up and bottom agrees. BUT later on they do talk abt plays they’d do, it’s not really mentioned after that.
And he definitely never takes advantage of his inexperience, if anything I think it mentions him not wanting the bottom to be taken advantage of by anyone else (ch. 14).
