Rant: Kinda disappointed

I understood that the ending would be rushed by how often it was mentioned in the comments, but not to the point it was that rushed. I really was hoping Rezef developed emotional (although he helped progress the story a lot) the same way Kayena got to do so because she came back and changed. They both had a miserable upbringing and it's kinda depressing how not only was his mother killed, apparently his friends were killed as well. He just reminds me of a kid who self-destructs because that's all he knows how to do.

This whole thing about blaming children because of the actions of adult is just ugh. The late empress decided to get freaky blame her, not Rezef, abs not Kayena for sharing her blood. And ML who's name I forgot but I'm too tired, from what was shown, same shit with his parents, why is his dad specifically judging his blood like they ain't got the same blood type. At this point, we should all start a pub called The Fatherless where we give out shirts and drinks that have on the noes jokes about terrible fathers.

.Also, I thought they were gonna reveal how he was involved in the nanny being banished and exiled but no. And Kayena's other ladies-in-waiting barely got screen time. I get that they showed them early on but barely. I thought they'd show us they're intelligent at their jobs but no. That was done through exposition during the last few chapters. (I didn't want to count the first kitchen scandal as Kayena got involved in that.) Like where are the other 2 ladies in waiting. The one with shirt black hair appeed for one chapter, but the other one appears when needed. I thought the blonde one would be one we see grow, especially after what happened with her brother.

Also, the Heinrich household, (with a child who may be able to be on the throne) needed more story to it. I thought I'd be shitting myself when the dude was on screen but nah. Felt like I was hearing that one annoying kid that says a lot but does nothing. It would've been more entertaining if they built a more threatening appearance, like Rezef...who made me feel like he would stab anyone in the room.

One more thing, I did believe Kayena had plans to put Rezef on the throne, but even though she kept saying that, it didn't feel like she'd actually do it. Was hoping the two spent more time together. Does anyone have recommendations involving siblings developing bonds. I usually read one with parents one, but I as want one with siblings against the world.

Sorry for the rambling
