From my understanding, he got in as an investor and offered up his savings (risky asf) and then the "friend" backstabbed and transfered the loanshark debt onto him. which i feel shouldnt even be legal. a lot of this loanshark stuff in korean manwhas I can't see happening in my litigious country. i always think "they'd get sued or shot up here"
Loansharks are already illegal, so I don't think the law would really apply to them cuz you are doing something wrong, with the wrong people, who also have the money, power and connections to do illegal things using illegal methods, but the boy is dumb in general like he's too gullible lmao
but i already feel so bad for mc, honestly never trust ANYONE when ur making a loan. especially if it includes land, money, investing or just any shady business in general.
