So I think that the sus meds are making his mind relax, it acts like a sleeping pills but is making him forget things and get hallucinations

Didn't the MC is suspicious in the meds? So why he didn't think anything in professor. He doubted his friend but the professor that he only recently knows he trusted him?
MC has loving parents why he's in the creep's home. Ml and second lead are toxic and can't be trusted. Does he not has a gut feeling something is wrong on the professor that's why he should stay with his parents
