media literacy has rly been lost. This is grade school and middle school english class level. The author’s job is to convey a message, a story. The reader then decrypts it. No one is “gaslighting” you. Just because the direction of the story is heading a certain way, you are not made to think that way.

the authors message wasn’t simply “we’re all learning to be adults” my comment was mostly a joke i just don’t like jin i was venting my frustration. but even so the message was stupid after what jin did. “we all have flaws they make us human” “we’re all learning from our mistakes on step at a time” i understand what the author was conveying, jin however isn’t under that umbrella in this relationship. he was scared mc would leave and he was trying to hold onto the relationship, okay cool, still raped him three times. in a relationship when you rape your partner that’s not a little flaw you learn from, you breakup thats it. jin doesn’t fall under that, if you feel so unwell you will go out and rape your partner then you better be single.
the author has twice now pushed jin’s actions under the rug and just made it be like “let’s talk it out this is normal.” when he first was found out for stalking the mc and the second time when he raped the mc. a previous comment did say the mc has also been stalking one of the ml’s but #1 jin literally has baby picture of the mc, his stalking was much worse then the mc. mc shoukdnt have stalked the ml yeah, but even when they entered the relationship the mc had to put down a boundary because jin was so invasive and creepy. and #2 jin originally entered the relationship by breaking into the second ml’s house over and over and he just stopped caring. jin is weird and they keep passing it off as he’s enduring.
the mc did grow on both of those occasions (when jin forced him to confront instead of running away) by not hiding from confrontation and facing it head on, but both of those situations were not normal and weren’t enduring. they were criminal behavior.
the author has also twice now made very vivid rape scenes and then a couple seconds after pushed it under the rug like nothing happened. chapter 15 and i think chapter 3 or 4 i think? and yeah jin apologized this time for raping the mc, but this is the only time that he raped him that he apologized for? he’s weird. mc is weird too, but he hasn’t raped anyone three fucking times. this isn’t media literacy being gone, this author is just weird. zip it up when you’re done
That's why I said in any other situation it would be a rape, since the ml actually disarmed him with a sane sounding arguments and do it with him willingly. But that doesn't mean what mc tired to do wasn't a serious crime. I think they all clinically insane to be honest
yeah i get what you’re saying but i still do think jin is far more dangerous then the mc. if things went the mc’s way he would’ve raped the second ml but the potential to rape and actually raping your boyfriend 3 times outweighs the other. jin has pictures from when the mc was in elementary school and would constantly break into the second ml’s house. they also didn’t know shit about him because until like this ark he didn’t want to communicate with them. and at the very least the mc knew the second ml, jin was a complete stranger doing these things.

Well yeah I see your point, the only thing I think we see differently is the spectrum of how much mc is weird. For me it doesn't matter if you do it once or 10 times because you shouldn't do something like than even one time because your behavior can escalate at any given point and honestly if given time and opportunity I think mc behavior would escalated to something worse. But yeah I agree that Jin is the freakiest of them, but not by a lot
